Corporate Proposal
Make Berakah Educational Foundation Your CSR and CSI Project
Why Berakah is a worthy and worth-while CSR Project:
- Berakah has been operating since 1996 and has gained recognition and respect in the community
- Berakah is duly registered as an NPO and a PBO, making donations to the Foundation, tax deductible
- Corporations can improve their BEE rating by their involvement in effective Corporate Social Initiatives, such as the Berakah Educational Foundation
- Other reputable companies and institutions have investigated the programmes, governance and accountability of the Foundation and decided to get involved
- Sponsorship of community upliftment projects, particularly in the area of education, carries long term benefits to the economy and stability of a region
- Investment in the lives of orphans, creates a dramatice turn-about, changing them from a short term liabilty to a valuable human resource within only a few years
- Giving back to the community and particularly those in need, is the responsibility of every man, woman and child and carry dividends that can not be measured in material value, nor can it be discribed in mere words
- Following the example of Jesus Christ, who said "Let the little children come to Me and hinder them not", causes return that can only be described in one word "Blessing", which is the meaning of the Hebrew word "Berakah"

SUSTAINABILITY OF THE PROJECTS
The decision has been made to start an Endowment Fund for Berakah to ensure the sustainability of the projects. Individuals and companies will be invited to make donations to this fund as part of their CSR initiatives and donations to this fund will remain in the fund indefinitely. The interest accrued will fund the OPEX of the organisation and that of future centres. Anyone interested in making donations to such an Endowment Fund for Berakah, please contact Meleney Kriel at +27 (0)79 635 2964 or send an email to meleney@berakah.org.za
