About Us

We have been running since 1999, in that time we have come a long way. With humble beginnings with only 1 volunteer staff member working out of her home to educate and care for children in the community we have been grown now to accommodate 170 children in six classrooms, with 11 staff members. It's been a long journey so far but we're excited about what lays ahead. We have a passion for bringing high quality education into communities and desire to express that passion by creating a centre of excellence in which any child can learn and grow to be empowered for the future. Not only that our desire is to see high quality education centres across the country, which is why we've developed a training program (SAQA Certification Pending) to train teachers so that they too can provide centres of learning excellence.

Our Mission
To develop, facilitate and replicate contextually appropriate training for rural Early Childhood Development practitioners whilst providing a benchmark model of the implementation thereof.

Our Vision
Create an environment in which education can thrive in communities, providing high quality training for people across the country, and continent so that they are in turn empowered to change their surroundings, and establish standards of learning.

Invitation
Social sciences attribute two development essentials to the shaping of a young life – nurture and nature. Nature is that which you were born with and that contributes only in part to what you will become. The most significant contributor, however, to the outcome of a life is the nurturing it receives during its first seven years. Come and be part of shaping tender lives and teaching others to do the same.
